Abe has been involved in commercial real estate finance for more than 18 years. Beginning his career as a mortgage broker in New York, he represents some of Manhattan's most well known real estate companies, helping them arrange debt. After seven years with Meridian Capital Group, in 2000, Abe was reassigned to the company's New Jersey office and ran that operation through 2008. During those eight years, Abe was responsible for closing loans of $160 million to more than $2 billion, and expanding the office from eight to more than 30 people. He also oversaw the company's Pennsylvania and Chicago markets.

Prior to co-founding Deerwood Real Estate Capital, David joined the New York office of Meridian Capital Group in 2001 as a Managing Director to help form and develop the company’s Capital Markets Group. He successfully led the group for over seven years and closed upwards of $14 billion in transactions.
David is a 19-year veteran of the New York real estate market. After earning a degree in accounting from Yeshiva University, he worked as an accountant and real estate consultant at Deloitte & Touche. While at Deloitte, David was part of the group that helped Bear Stearns start their securitized lending program. In 1997 David was solicited to join Bear Stearns’ CMBS group and did so as a lender.
